Position: General Farm Labourer
Part Time, Permanent
Schedule: 20-30 hours / week
Wage: Pertaining to experience (negotiable based on experience). The employer conducts regular reviews and is willing to offer wage increases as skills and experience grow.
Wisselview Farms is seeking applications to fill Milker/General Farm Labourer position. The position is currently being offered as part-time, but additional hours may be extended upon request. Prior dairy farm experience is ideal but training is available for the right candidate. Candidate must possess good communication skills, pay attention to detail, be able to work with a team and have the ability to work calmly and safely around cows.
Job Duties
- Milking – 190 +/- milking cows, double-10 herringbone parlour
- Cleaning parlour after each milking
- Follow food safety, security, and bio-security procedures
Skills Required
- Previous dairy experience preferred
- Tractor and machinery skills are an asset
- Ability to work independently and accept training where required
- Ability to pay attention to detail to maintain preventative measures.
- Speak and understand sufficient English for communication and taking direction.
